Will this year be The Year of Trusted Computing?

The official Trusted Computing Group blog had a summary post setting the tone for the year, looking at whether this year will be the year Trusted Computing hits the mainstream.
As highlighted, Full Disk Encryption is undoubtedly going to big this year, and the Greater China Regional Forum looks promising. If one considers the recent spat between Google and China one might think that working with China on security in particular is not good from a PR point of view, but given the alternative of not working with China and leaving them to get on with their own alternative chip, I feel the GCRF is the lesser of two evils.
There’s been a few other interesting snippets of news, like Wave signing a big licensing deal with an automaker, and I know of a few other places that there are interesting moves afoot, so even if this year isn’t The Year of Trusted Computing, it will at least be another year of solid progress.
