This report on a press release from Wave Systems is a bit late since Interop is already finished, but just for the record, here’s what Wave Systems were planning on demonstrating.
Their Network Access Control (NAC) solution allows the management of devices trying to connect to the network such as ensuring that full disk encryption is enabled on clients wanting access. By combining various Trusted Computing Group (TCG) standards and standards-based solutions, client integrity metrics may be managed. Their particular demonstration will combine their own EMBASSY Endpoint Enforcer software, Juniper Networks’ Unified Access Control (UAC) and Seagate’s Momentus full-disk encryption hard drive into a system that ensures only “clean” laptops can sign-on and use a network.
In addition, their EMBASSY Remote Administration Server will show how the aforementioned full-disk encryption drives can be centrally managed.
I wish I’d been there to see this for myself!
You can find the original press release in many places all over the web; I got it off Earth Times.
