Trusted computing (and other things) in China

Steve Duplessie, in his blog Steve’s IT Rants, described a recent visit to China entitled Mao’s Revenge, where amongst other things he spent three days on a boat on the Yangtze with a bunch of global PhD’s yapping about trusted computing. There’s really very little about trusted computing, but it’s an entertaining article that’s well worth reading. My favourite line was:
“A cloud can be comprised of a grid, and a grid can be comprised of clouds”, to which there was much rejoicing.
I vaguely considered asking to go to that conference, but after reading that I’m most glad I didn’t!
