Only Linux can save us from TPM!

On his blog DBA Will, he rants on about how Linux is still difficult to configure, and he proclaims that the reason he wants to set it up is to save himself from Trusted Computing, which he defines thus:
It would have been nice to change my daily use machine to Linux in preparation for the dark and inevitable future of Trusted Computing. Trusted Computing is a set of software and hardware standards designed to uniquely identify PCs and other consumer electronics to not only enforce but also discover illicit uses of media and content that are not approved by the Trusted Computing Group and their shadowy media conglomerate clients.
First, Direct Anonymous Attestation preserves one’s anonymity.
Second, looking at the list of TCG members, I see no major media companies on the list barring perhaps Sony, but whether they are interested in it due to their stake in movie distribution, or whether it is for PC, PlayStation, or mobile phone-related reasons, I do not know, and neither does DBA Will.
Of course, since they are shadowy clients, they aren’t listed on the web site, and all the representatives from the listed companies that are producing all the specifications are actually being controlled as shadowy plants, and…
