Is this worth refuting or debated?

Once again I read an article, this time on TechNewsWorld by Jeremiah T. Gray of LinuxInsider on, well, I’m not really too sure, but it does feature gratuitous abuse regarding trusted computing, appearing in this paragraph:

In the past couple of decades, powerful multinational corporations and their legal teams have done some unorthodox modifications of their own; they have pressured legislatures into enacting domineering legislation like the Telecommunications Act of 1996, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and this most recent PRO-IP boondoggle, and they have taken matters into their own hands as well, producing DRM technology and Trusted Computing.

There is a lack of understanding of what Trusted Computing is, and although people like the author of the above are most likely not going to be persuaded that there is another way of viewing trusted computing (or even DRM), there really needs to be more active positive news source, but I fear they (we?) will get dismissed as mindless cheerleaders.

If you must, read the full article here.
