Interesting new Google Chrome OS TPM feature

I’ve just spotted a new entry in the Google Code Chrome OS issues database:

Tracking tasks to take TPM ownership during OOBE.

OOBE is most likely Out Of Box Experience, how the user interacts with the device when they first turn it on. On current PCs, taking ownership of a TPM requires explicit user actions for privacy and other reasons, so it will be interesting to see how Google approach this issue. I know also that the taking ownership issue is a hot topic for a number of people in the Trusted Computing world, so it would also be good to get Google on board with the Trusted Computing Group.
