Encrypted storage and disk arrays

Posted by Ken Y-N on June 24th, 2008 at 08:18am

I’ve previously highlighted Seagate’s encrypted drive but this article from the Trusted Computing Group’s (TCG) official blog looks at best practises for hardware encryption-based disk arrays.

Two key documents from the TCG’s Storage Group are an application note from November 2007 entitled “Encrypting Drives in an Array Controller” and “Key Management Services Application Note”. These can be found here.

The documents are interesting reads, so get more details here.

Oh, and hi from Nice!
