Differential Power Analysis and the Trusted Platform Module

There was an interesting post on the FPGA Gurus blog recently, looking at Sidechannel attacks of FPGAs and how they relate to the TPM. It notes that Cryptography Research, the leaders in developing defensive methods against power analysis attacks on hardware, are working with the Trusted Computing Group on issues surrounding these kinds of attacks on a TPM.
I’ve had the pleasure of attending a few talks on this kind of attack, including one by the S in RSA, so I know it’s a real threat and that the guys in Cryptography Research are the best people to show you how to protect yourself.
