Computerworld predicts all hard drives self-encrypting in five years

In a look at the latests TCG Secure Storage specifications, Computerworld reports that experts predict all drives will be self-encrypting in five years.

I think that full disk encryption is the TCG standard that is most immediately relevant to the average end-user, so such moves would be more than welcome by me.
