Blog of Trust back in action!

Posted by Ken Y-N on July 6th, 2009 at 01:54pm

After a six-month or more layoff, Blog of Trust is back being updated again! For the next few weeks I’ll be back-filling stories as well as adding new entries, so if you see strange things on the RSS feed that’s probably the reason. Since I’m back-filling, I’ll be more brief than usual with my summaries.

One interesting thing I’ve noted is that a lot of the links I’d saved have since died, but I don’t know if that means anything interesting or not!

Welcome back! I missed your updates. :)

If the dead links are from media websites (newspaper, blog, etc.) I find that often I can dig up vanished content via either searching the site itself, which has renamed the article for long-term storage, or googling the title and finding someone who archived it elsewhere. For static sites, archive.org is my friend! What tricks do you use to hunt down things like that?
