Atmel offer TPM development kit for embedded systems

Although up to now the TPM has been available almost exclusively on a PC-based platform, with this latest announcement from Atmel the spread to embedded systems can progress.
The trademarked CryptoController, Atmel’s own implementation of the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) as specified by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG), is now ready for integration into embedded designs.
What you get for a mere $99 (at the time of writing) includes:
a small TPM SMBus module board mounted on an AT90USBKEY board; a standard A to mini B USB device cable; a mini A to receptacle A USB host adapter; 9-Volt battery alternate supply cable; and USB flash drive containing documentation and demonstration software.
All this can be controlled from any PC to allow development of a hardware root of trust for an embedded system. One big plus is supplied working examples of TPM functionality, giving an essential leg-up to new TPM developers struggling to get through the TCG’s technical specification. This sounds like a great investment to me!
