Another pundit excited by TNC’s IF-MAP

Alan Shimel at StillSecure saw the Trusted Computing Group’s (TCG) Trusted Network Connect (TNC) workgroup’s new protocol IF-MAP (Interface for Metadata Access Point), and he seems to think it will be the next big thing, covering not just NAC (Network Access Control), but spreading out to affect IDS/IPS (Intruder Detection/Prevention Systems), vulnerability management, SIMs, and other network security-related issues.

After discussing the protocol with one of the architects, he thinks this should be adopted by all vendors to enable administrators to synergetically combine best-in-class solutions from multiple vendors.

Catch his infectious enthusiasm here at StillSecure After All These Years.
